The Age of Adeline [Movie]

Although it did make me cry, and had a semi-happy ending, overall I hated it. The movie features a woman who was born mid 1920's. Driving home from a party she gets in a servere car crash and is killed. But after she is taken to the hospital they give her a jolt of electricity that (not on purpose) maligns her aging atoms or something like that- they give a really scientific explanation but it comes down to this: she can't age. So in order to keep on living like she is, she keeps her condition a secret from everyone and continually changes her name and never lives in one place for more than six months or so. She lives through a lot, and never dies, but the hardest part is leaving all the men that she has become involved with. Eventually we reach 2015 when she is having an affair with some artist guy. This is a really awkward and slow moving part (along with one bedtime scene that explains the PG-13 rating) that leads to her being invited over to the guy's house with his parents.

SPOILER ALERT- As it turns out, the guy's father is one of the men who Adeline has previously fallen in love with. (That was the part that made me cry) She runs away, fearing discovery, but dies again, ugh, and they give her another jolt of electricity that (shocker!) makes her age again.

This movie was slow-moving, grim, and very sad. Again: Don't watch this movie.

I have just one comment: Do not watch this movie.

He soon learns that there is something hidden under the stones of his school and that whatever it is someone's trying to retrieve it. Harry suspects that it is Professor Snape an old enemy of his dad. This hate for this professor grows and grows until the very end.

The Mysterious Benedict Society By Trenton Lee Stewart

This book is a spy novel, a book of enigmas, and a touching friendship novel all at once. Four unique orphans (or runaways) are brought together by a newspaper advertisement to complete a series of tests designed to test their minds. All decidedly brilliant children, they must ensue on a drastically dangerous mission to save the world- but first they must learn to get along. Solving mind-bending puzzles and narrowly escaping predicaments, these extraordinary kids are tested in every way in their struggles to find where they belong.
I WHOLLY recommend this book to anyone. Anyone!
(This book is also a series in which the books get better and better as they go along. READ IT.)
This is the cover of the first book. You've probably already seen it around.

The Scandalous Sisterhood of Prickwillow Place By: Julie Berry

This is from Goodreads:

There's a murderer on the loose—but that doesn't stop the girls of St. Etheldreda's from attempting to hide the death of their headmistress in this rollicking farce.

The students of St. Etheldreda's School for Girls face a bothersome dilemma. Their irascible headmistress, Mrs. Plackett, and her surly brother, Mr. Godding, have been most inconveniently poisoned at Sunday dinner. Now the school will almost certainly be closed and the girls sent home—unless these seven very proper young ladies can hide the murders and convince their neighbors that nothing is wrong.

The Scandalous Sisterhood of Prickwillow Place is a smart, hilarious Victorian romp, full of outrageous plot twists, mistaken identities, and mysterious happenings.
